W. E. Masonry is a unique masonry contracting company specializing in brick, stone, block and in infusing various
combinations of exotic materials into artistic masonry installation designs, frequently not attempted or considered by others. New and creative

The driving force behind W E Masonry is it's executive manager, Wayne Ervin. Wayne has been involved in the
masonry trade for 30 years and has participated in all aspects of masonry construction.
"My facination with the art of masonry construction began while attending a semester of University studies in
Europe. I observed Roman stone structures and roads that had endured for over two thousand years, stone castles that were still intact after a
thousand years
and elaborate stone cathedrals, many hundreds of years old and still in use today. The diversity and beauty of so many ancient European masonry
structures is quite a contrast to what is common in my own country which is barely two hundred and fifty years old."
"I began my masonry career as an apprentice in the bricklayers union in San Diego County. After becoming a
journeyman mason I gained experience managing projects and crews in the commercial and industrial sector. Eventually I started my own masonry
business and focused on custom home construction and small commercial projects.
Currently my focus is more toward the artful expressions that can be achieved by combining
non-traditional materials with traditional masonry materials in unique form and function. I still enjoy commercial construction and working with a
large crew of masons and masons' helpers as well as working solo on unique projects."
