I cut the maple floor out to accomodate the stone in this interior pond. The temporary strip of wet wood, under the window, has been replaced with a section of glass that extends under the surface of the water, allowing water to flow, while forming an airtight seal to the outside. It is hard to see in this photo, but this pond is full of rose quartz, obsidian, copper ore, crystals, and many other colorful mineral stones, all placed to look as if they had formed there naturally in a concentrated geological wonder. The clients had an abundance of mineral and gem stones on hand from which to choose. I really had fun building this pool. Here is where this stream begins. This is just upstream from the window.
