At the top, you can see the damper covered with fiberglass insulation and the bricks that form the smoke chamber, behind the damper.
Two flue liners, set side by side for the double chimney, will be added next. Horizontal reinforcing steel is wrapped around the vertical steel at sixteen inch intervals. The void between the flue liners and the outside brick and stone shell is filled solid with grout.
