To create this decorative stone wall between horse corrals, we began with an eight inch wide,
solid grouted, concrete block retaining wall, laid on top of a wide concrete footing. The footing was poured to the shape we wanted the bottom of the stone veneer to be. The serpentine effect is accentuated by extending the bottom of the stone wall line away from the bottom of the block wall, randomly. This creates varying angles of vertical wall lines, for a more interesting organic appearance. We mixed five different types of stone together for this veneer.
